Yet Another Notepad is designed with privacy as a core principle. The extension operates entirely on your local device and does not transmit any data to external servers.

All your notes are stored locally in your browser's storage using Chrome's built-in storage API. This means:

• ✅ No data is sent to our servers
• ✅ No data is shared with third parties
• ✅ No tracking or analytics are performed
• ✅ No user accounts or registration required

Permissions

The extension requests only the minimum permissions necessary to function:

• Storage: To save your notes locally in your browser
• No network permissions: The extension cannot access the internet or send data anywhere

Data Access

Since all data is stored locally:

• Only you have access to your notes
• We cannot access, view, or retrieve your notes
• Your notes are tied to your specific browser installation
